What is Never Gravel Enough?
Never Gravel Enough is a community project born in Warsaw in 2023. We are building a community centered around gravel biking enthusiasts. We believe that the pinnacle of cycling is romantic cycling, and gravel rides always taste better in good company. We love intense days on the bike. We enjoy riding long distances and discovering the unknown. After the ride, we like to enjoy a good pizza, drink aromatic coffee, and chat casually about our cycling plans.
What can I expect?
Group rides
From early May to the end of September, we meet every Thursday after work for short rides (40-60 km), always ending with pizza. We also organize longer rides on weekends, ranging from 80 to 180 km, depending on the season and daylight. On weekends, we explore areas further from Warsaw.
Weekend trips
Every 3-4 weeks, from May to September, we organize weekend camps in various regions of Poland. We meet on Friday evening for an introductory bonfire and spend the next two days riding the local routes (e.g., Suwalszczyzna). Some weekend camps are mobile, where we ride from point A to B, with our luggage transported by car (e.g., Szlak Orlich Gniazd).
International camps
These are epic gravel adventures in the most beautiful corners of Europe and beyond. This year we’re heading to places like Andalusia, Tuscany, Norway, Girona, and southern Morocco. Most of the camps take place from autumn to spring, when cycling conditions in Poland aren’t ideal. The exception is northern destinations, where we ride in the summer.
Events in Clubhouse
Occasionally, we organize stationary events at our Clubhouse on Puławska 134 in Warsaw, including talks with cycling travelers, workshops, and other special gatherings.
Professional foto coverage
At all our events, we bring photo/video equipment and create professional coverage. High-resolution galleries are shared with NGE Club members for non-commercial use.
How fast are group rides?
Our rides have a reputation for being fast, but that's only half the story. We divide into two groups:
Espresso: The fastest gravel rides in the capital. It's not a race, we ride responsibly, take breaks when needed, but push ourselves on forest sections. The pace is set by the fastest person, so it depends on the group. If you can’t keep up, no worries. You can drop back and wait for the second group.
Latte: More relaxed rides, at a conversational pace. The latte group focuses on the social aspect—riding briskly but waiting for each other. We also collect those who dropped from the espresso group. At the end, both groups meet up for pizza!
What do I need to know before joining a ride?
For everyone's safety, we follow some basic rules:
- Helmets are mandatory for all participants.
- Each rider must ensure their bike is properly prepared and in good working condition - no aero bars allowed.
- We adhere to traffic laws.
- Bring basic tools, a spare tube, a pump, and lights.
- We ride responsibly, pointing out potholes and warning of dangers. By joining a ride, you agree to these rules. Participation is at your own risk, and we recommend having at least third-party liability insurance.
What types of trips do you organize?
We organize two types of camps: weekend trips in Poland (summer season) and international trips.
During the summer, we hold weekend camps in Poland every 3-4 weeks. We typically meet on Friday evening, have an integration bonfire, and then ride for two days (e.g., Suwalszczyzna). We also have mobile weekend camps, where we ride from A to B, with a car carrying our luggage (e.g., Szlak Orlich Gniazd).
International camps are week-long adventures in beautiful parts of Europe and beyond. These typically take place from autumn to spring, when cycling conditions are poor in Poland. Northern destinations are an exception, with rides during the summer.
I want to join a camp. Will I manage?
If you're wondering whether you can keep up, don’t worry—our camps are designed to showcase beautiful destinations with a focus on romantic cycling. We ride at a leisurely pace, stopping for coffee breaks or meals along the way, and we make sure not to schedule challenging routes on consecutive days to allow for rest and recovery.
Our camps are not designed for complete beginners, as we ride in beautiful yet often hilly areas. Most of our camps cater to intermediate riders who are comfortable with climbing.
We split into two groups based on distance and elevation gain, ensuring both beginners and advanced riders have a fulfilling experience.
Are you legally operating?
Absolutely! All our trips are organized through the company Obozy Górskie Sp. z o.o., which is a licensed tour operator under Polish law (Act on Tourist Events and Related Services, 24 November 2017). We contribute to the tourist guarantee fund for all our camps.
I want to lead a ride. Can I join you?
Yes! During the busy season, we often have large groups and could use extra help with leading rides. We'd be happy to meet with you and discuss how we can collaborate. We’re always grateful for additional support and can definitely find a way to thank you for your contribution.
