EXPERIENCE AN EXOTIC ADVENTURE IN SOUTHERN MOROCCO

Do you dream of an exotic cycling adventure in Africa? Introducing the most epic adventure of 2025 – a camp in southern Morocco. You know us – nothing on this trip will be cliché. Instead of taking you to the crowded, touristy High Atlas, we’re offering something even more exciting. We’re taking you to the wild, moon-like Anti-Atlas. To regions where mass tourism doesn't reach. We’ll focus on the true, authentic Morocco, far from the tourist hustle and bustle. Of course, we won’t skip the must-see spots – such as the vibrant, lively Marrakech.

ANTI-ATLAS CAMP is 10 days of incredible adventure in spectacular natural surroundings. Ahead of us are endless empty spaces, cosmic rock formations, and majestic mountains. We’ll experience the hospitality of the Berbers and immerse ourselves in the culture of the indigenous people of these areas, taste their cuisine (dishes cooked in clay tagines), and sip plenty of sweet mint tea. We’ll experience incredible night skies at the edge of the world, and for these 10 days, we’ll completely escape from the Polish November reality.

Thanks to the assistance of a technical vehicle, we can afford a nomadic style of travel without the need to carry our luggage.

The photos on this page come from last year's edition of this very camp.

You will transport your bike by plane in a case or cardboard box. If you need to rent a case or box, let us know, and we will arrange it for you.

TRANSPORT IN MOROCCO

In Marrakech at the airport, we meet with the drivers, pack the bikes (in cardboard boxes/cases) into the van, and head to the base near Ouarzazate. All transfers within Morocco will be done with a 4x4 vehicle – we will not be using buses/taxis, etc. Throughout the trip, we will have a technical vehicle with us – for transporting luggage between overnight stops, carrying water and food during the day, and providing technical support if needed.

ACCOMMODATION

The trip has a nomadic character. Our base camp will be an oasis near Ouarzazate. On the first day, we’ll leave our suitcases, boxes, etc. there. This is also where we’ll finish our cycling loop. On the route, luggage will be transported by the technical vehicle, so we’ll be cycling light.

Since we’ll be traveling through less touristy parts of the country, the standard of accommodation will vary greatly. We’ll stay in both elegant hotels and shabby guesthouses at the ends of the world 🙂 All accommodations will have basic amenities like running water, but there may be instances where there’s no electricity at certain places (it’s worth bringing a power bank). All accommodations include meals in the form of lunch-dinner and breakfast. You can choose between meat or vegetarian options.

The last two nights will be spent in a traditional riad in Marrakech, giving us a full day to explore the city and relax.

Note: We recommend bringing a lightweight sleeping bag as it might get cold at night.

THE ROUTE

We have a total of 8 cycling days ahead.

In terms of numbers, this is not a particularly difficult trip – the average for the entire journey is about 90 km and 1100 m of elevation gain per day. The challenges come from the limited availability of shops along the route and occasional technically difficult sections. The route has been largely ridden by us last year. It has been checked and is passable, but depending on the weather, it may be more or less technically challenging (mud with the consistency of peanut butter, rubble from heavy rainfall, etc.). There are sections with loose, rocky surfaces, but overall, the route is not very technically demanding. We recommend bringing a gravel bike with tires at least 45 mm wide or a rigid MTB.

Note: We reserve the right to make changes to the schedule below, as long as they do not significantly affect the distances and elevation gains.

Guides

Janek

Janek

Lover of all kinds of adventure cycling. Rides his bike more than 300 days a year. Most enjoys exploring the world from the perspective of two wheels, which he does at every opportunity. Rides in the mountains, takes photos, drinks coffee and eats pastries. The architect of routes and camps, and main photographer.

Doma

Doma

Loves to pet doggies and eat jellies. Also rides all year round, regardless of the weather. Apparently, the only kind of cycling she does is romantic cycling. You won't find her at races or on a trainer. But don't get it wrong - she rides over a dozen thousand kilometers every year. The most emphatic part of NGE - always ready to help when needed, and won't leave you behind in the woods.

Any questions?
