Never Gravel Enough

Terra Glacensis

TERRA GLACENSIS – A GRAVEL ADVENTURE IN THE KŁODZKO LAND After our seaside adventure with Midsummer Epic, it was time for a weekend in the mountains. It's hard to believe, but this was the first time NGE ventured into the Polish mountains—after over a year of group rides and trips. And when it comes to Polish mountains and gravel, it had to be the Sudetes and the stunning Kłodzko Land.

THE ORLICKIE MOUNTAINS

Saturday was a beautiful loop through the Orlickie Mountains, on the Polish-Czech border. We split into two groups, differing in route length and pace, but both routes came together at "gastronomic points." What more can we say—the weather was perfect, the gravel roads were ideal, and the views were stunning! In the afternoon, we visited Masaryk's Hut for fried cheese with a Kofola, and after descending to Duszniki, we treated ourselves to dessert. A perfect day. However, the forecast for Sunday wasn’t looking too optimistic.

THE STOŁOWE MOUNTAINS

Sunday greeted us with cool weather and light drizzle. Luckily, we’re not made of sugar, so we set off as planned to make the most of the brief weather window. We headed to the Stołowe Mountains for a short recovery loop. This time, we didn’t split up; we rode together as one group. Spirits were high despite the unfavorable weather. Every NGE ride has to end with pizza, so we wrapped up the weekend at an Italian restaurant in Polanica.

And so, another beautiful weekend became part of history. We’re incredibly happy that with each trip, more and more new faces are joining us. It’s truly wonderful to spend an active weekend with people who share the same passion and to watch our NGE family grow!
