THIS IS WHERE THE BEST GRAVEL ROADS IN POLAND ARE HIDDEN!
We're opening the next season of Never Gravel Enough weekend camps! To kick things off, we invite you to the land of happy cows, storks, and the best gravel roads in Poland. We're talking about Suwalszczyzna, which stole our hearts during last year's weekend camp. That’s when we decided we needed to return for more than just 2 days. So, for the long May weekend, we’re taking you there!
What makes this region so magical? It's the endless hills, dotted with grazing cows, crisscrossed with winding, white gravel roads that remind you of Tuscany. It's the all-encompassing tranquility, low population density, and practically no tourists. It's one of the last corners of Poland untouched by mass tourism. Come with us and experience firsthand what a gravel adventure with Never Gravel Enough in Suwalszczyzna feels like!
All photos on this page are from last year’s edition of this camp.

Getting to the location on your own – the easiest way is by car. An alternative option is to take the train to Suwałki and then bike to the base (18 km from the station).
For an additional fee of 200 PLN, we offer transportation from and to Warsaw by NGE bus – of course, with your bike and luggage. Pickup on April 30 (Wednesday) at 4:00 PM at our Clubhouse on Puławska 134. Return to Warsaw on May 4 (Sunday) around 9:00 PM. - all bus seats have been sold out!
ACCOMMODATION
We will be staying in an guesthouse located in the forest, near the village of Sidory. This location guarantees us an intimate atmosphere, absolute peace and quiet, and an amazing night sky! Please note that there are no shops in the immediate vicinity; the nearest store is about 10 km from our base.
There is an option to purchase meals (4 breakfasts, 3 dinners) for 320 PLN/person. We suggest opting for this, as the food is great and the portions are large 🙂 Meals are available in either vegetarian or meat versions – your choice.
Rooms are for 2-3 people, each with its own bathroom. The rooms are simple, without any excessive luxuries, but they are clean and well-equipped.
We will also have access to a sauna. The area also features a communal space with a bonfire area, which we will definitely use on Wednesday after arrival.

ROUTES
Suwalszczyzna is a gravel paradise, full of picturesque, winding premium gravel roads. The majority of the routes we’ll be riding have been tested and ridden by us throughout the last season. The routes are technically easy, with very few sections of sand or loose surfaces. Additionally, there are asphalt sections with minimal traffic. The gravel-to-asphalt ratio on the routes is about 50/50%. We recommend tires around 40 mm.
Suwalszczyzna is not flat – the climbs are short and rather gentle, but after a few hours of riding, they start to be felt. The trip is not difficult, but it does require a general fitness level of medium intensity.
As usual, we will split into two groups with different riding paces (and consequently slightly different distances):
- Espresso: average speed 23-26 km/h - Latte: average speed 21-23 km/h
The routes for both groups largely overlap, so the groups will meet several times a day during breaks.
Note: We reserve the right to make changes to the itinerary, as long as it does not significantly affect the distances and elevation gains.
Uwaga: zastrzegamy sobie prawo do wprowadzania zmian względem poniższej rozpiski, nie wpływających znacząco na dystanse i sumy przewyższeń.

Guides

Janek
Lover of all kinds of adventure cycling. Rides his bike more than 300 days a year. Most enjoys exploring the world from the perspective of two wheels, which he does at every opportunity. Rides in the mountains, takes photos, drinks coffee and eats pastries. The architect of routes and camps, and main photographer.

Doma
Loves to pet doggies and eat jellies. Also rides all year round, regardless of the weather. Apparently, the only kind of cycling she does is romantic cycling. You won't find her at races or on a trainer. But don't get it wrong - she rides over a dozen thousand kilometers every year. The most emphatic part of NGE - always ready to help when needed, and won't leave you behind in the woods.
